Absolutely STUNNING! The Christmas lights on our house from Light the land are nothing short of magical. My wife told me to get the Christmas lights up this last Christmas and I said “absolutely honey”! I instantly called Light the Land. We spoke with Matthew and he made it super easy to pick colors and get them placed! Thanks Matthew! I hate ladders…Posted on Google![]()

Matt and his crew and nothing but professional and courteous. They were a pleasure to work with in the initial set up and the communication from scheduling to completion was top notch. This is the first year I decided to have a professional install and due to the experience I had with Matt and his team, it is the only place I will look to go to have this kind of service completed. Thanks Matt !!!
Parma Rooflines Are Easier Than People Expect
Parma went up all at once. Between 1950 and 1960 the population jumped from under 29,000 to more than 82,000 — for a stretch in the mid-fifties it was the fastest-growing city in the country — and what got built was block after block of brick Cape Cods, ranches, bungalows and split-levels on compact lots, sidewalk out front, driveway down the side. Twenty square miles of it.
That sameness is your advantage in December. When every roofline on a street sits at the same height and the same setback, the one house that is lit correctly reads from three blocks away. We make dang sure that house is yours.
Most of what we work with here is single-story, and that is good news. A Parma ranch has a long, low, uninterrupted eave — the cleanest thing in the world to light. One continuous run reads sharp and deliberate from the sidewalk instead of sagging into a squiggle.
Cape Cods give you a second tier. We run the main eave, then pick up the front dormers so the display has depth instead of one flat line. Split-levels — everywhere in the sections off Snow Road and State Road — already have a step built into the roof, and lighting both planes plus the vertical between them is what makes a split-level look designed instead of just decorated.
Front yards matter more here too. Lots are compact, so your porch posts, railings, walkway and foundation shrubs sit close to the sidewalk and to passing cars, carrying more of the display than they would on a big suburban lot. On the older curving streets of Ridgewood Gardens, laid out in the 1920s as a garden-city development, houses get viewed at an angle rather than head-on — so we wrap the front-yard maples and light the walkway approach rather than treating the elevation as a flat billboard.
Garage space is precious in a city of compact postwar homes, which is exactly why the way we work suits Parma so well.
Everything is clipped. Nothing is nailed. Every strand hangs on plastic clips sized to your shingles and gutters. Nothing is nailed, screwed or stapled into fascia — ever.
You lease the lights — you never buy them. Light The Land owns them. Design, installation, mid-season service, takedown after the holidays and climate-controlled labeled storage between seasons are all included. Nothing ends up in your garage. Year-to-year, three-year and five-year agreements are available, and the longer agreements come with discounted rates and priority scheduling. If you ever decide not to renew, the lights simply come back to us.
Lifetime warranty on all parts. Anything that fails or wears out gets replaced — the only exceptions being damage from pets, misuse or accidents.
Free same-day estimate. We measure your roofline with satellite software, so you get a real number the same day you call. Nobody has to be home. A deposit and a signed agreement hold your date, and installations start around Halloween.
We are a small local crew out of Berea, now in our third season with more than 50 homes installed, and fully insured.
