Absolutely STUNNING! The Christmas lights on our house from Light the land are nothing short of magical. My wife told me to get the Christmas lights up this last Christmas and I said “absolutely honey”! I instantly called Light the Land. We spoke with Matthew and he made it super easy to pick colors and get them placed! Thanks Matthew! I hate ladders…Posted on Google![]()

Matt and his crew and nothing but professional and courteous. They were a pleasure to work with in the initial set up and the communication from scheduling to completion was top notch. This is the first year I decided to have a professional install and due to the experience I had with Matt and his team, it is the only place I will look to go to have this kind of service completed. Thanks Matt !!!
Designed for Brecksville Peaks, Gables and Long Setbacks
Brecksville is a different animal from most of what surrounds it. Homes here run large, lots run close to a half-acre, and the terrain does half the work — wooded bluffs and ravines, the 3,000-plus acres of Brecksville Reservation, and Cuyahoga Valley National Park pressing in on the east side. Houses sit back from the road behind mature hardwoods.
That means your display has to be designed for distance and elevation, not just for the fifteen feet in front of the porch.
Drive through Chippewa Hills, Echo Hills, The Timbers or Rockledge Estates and you are looking at two-story colonials and Tudor Revivals with complicated roof geometry — front-facing gables, side peaks, dormer clusters, bay windows with their own little roofs, and pitches steep enough that a homeowner on a ladder has no business up there in November.
That complexity is the opportunity. On a house like this, the design decision that matters is which lines you do not light. Outline everything and it turns into noise. We pick the strong horizontals, follow the peaks that give the house its silhouette, then add the vertical elements — columns, porch railings, window frames — to tie the ground to the roof. Two-story columns on a center-hall colonial wrapped in garland and lit are worth more than another fifty feet of eave.
The older stock near the Route 21 and Route 82 crossroads and around Old Town brings a different problem — smaller, more historic elevations with detailed trim, where how we attach matters as much as how we design.
Everything is clipped. Nothing is nailed. We hang every strand on plastic clips sized to your shingles and gutters. Nothing gets nailed, screwed or stapled into fascia — ever. On a custom home with wrapped trim and copper gutters, that is not a preference, it is the only acceptable way to do it.
You lease the lights — you never buy them. Light The Land owns the lights. Design, installation, mid-season service, takedown after the holidays and climate-controlled labeled storage between seasons are all included. Nothing goes into your garage. Nothing degrades in an attic all summer. Year-to-year, three-year and five-year agreements are available, and the longer agreements come with discounted rates and priority scheduling.
Lifetime warranty on all parts. Anything that fails or wears out gets replaced — the only exceptions being damage from pets, misuse or accidents.
Free same-day estimate. We measure your roofline with satellite software, so we can quote a Brecksville home the same day you call. Nobody has to be home and nobody walks your property. A deposit and a signed agreement hold your date, and installations start around Halloween.
We are a small local crew out of Berea, now in our third season with more than 50 homes installed, and fully insured — which means the person who designs your display is the person on your roof, not a rotating subcontractor.

Let’s Get Your House on the List
